Over 700 years ago, the Walser people from the Swiss canton of Valais settled the Tannberg region, founding the villages of Lech, Warth, and Schröcken. The 85-kilometre-long Tannberg themed trail takes you on a journey tracing the footsteps of these early settlers, combining the fascinating history of the Walser with the stunning natural beauty of the region.

Along the trail, you will encounter 57 cultural and natural historical sites, each marked on a map as a station. These range from traditional alpine farms and historic mountain passes to ancient trade routes and locations steeped in legend. The charming mountainous landscape surrounding these stations tells the story of the rich culture, customs, and traditions of the Walser, who have left an indelible mark on the region.
