Lechweg.

125 km from the source to the falls.

lechweg-logo
The Lechweg is a moderately difficult long-distance hiking trail that takes you through one of the last wild river landscapes in Europe. Spanning approximately 125 kilometers, it connects five regions and two countries: from the source of the Lech near Formarin Lake in Vorarlberg, through the Vorarlberg Arlberg region, the Tirol Nature Park Region Lechtal, and Reutte, all the way to the Lech Falls in Füssen, Allgäu. An untamed river, impressive landscapes, and captivating stories await you on this unique hike!

The Lechweg offers more than just spectacular nature. You will pass by one of the largest ibex colonies in Europe, experience a mystical waterfall that magically dries up and springs back to life each year, and cross the longest free-access pedestrian bridge in Austria. The crowning conclusion of this unforgettable tour are the Bavarian royal castles at the end of the trail.

Turquoise, crystal-clear water, smooth polished rock slabs, and charming wooden bridges make the Lechweg a hiking experience you won't forget anytime soon.

The Lechweg offers various options to tailor the trail to your personal needs and fitness level:

Whichever variant you choose, the Lechweg can be experienced at your own rhythm and promises breathtaking natural experiences at every stage.
