Geocaching tour Warth.

Pastor Müller and the white gold.

Dive into the fascinating history of skiing and follow in the footsteps of ski pioneer Pastor Johann Müller. In 1894, Pastor Müller first read about skis in a magazine and quickly recognized how useful they could be in the snow-rich Tannberg region. He ordered his first pair of skis and shortly thereafter became the first person to ski from Warth to Lech—a sensation that heralded the advent of skiing in this region.

The sporting tour.

The geocaching tour "Pastor Müller and the White Gold" takes you on an exciting discovery journey with a total of ten stations. You start in Warth and follow the tracks of Pastor Müller.

The route leads you over the "Spitzingen Stein" and the "Hochalpe" to Saloberkopf, where you can admire the historic path that Pastor Müller once skied. As you continue your hike over the Salobersattel, you will discover fascinating karst formations before reaching the Hochtannbergpass. The return journey along the Salzstraße will take you back to Warth, passing the chapel of "St. Jakobus" at Simmel.
